Tamper & weather resistant grounded duplex receptacle meets the 2008 NEC requirement. Built with UV (ultra violet) stabilized engineered thermoplastic for high cold impact-resistance. Features stainless steel straps and mounting screws. Shutter mechanism inside the receptacle blocks access to the contacts unless a 2-prong plug is inserted, helping ensure hairpins, keys, and other similar items will be locked out. Quickwire push-in or side wired terminals. 15 amps/125 volts. NEMA (National Electrical Manufacturer's Association) 5-15R.
